In 2000, the Board of the Royal Palm Improvement Association signed a 10 year “bulk cable” agreement with Comcast. The agreement provides that all Royal Palm homeowners can receive basic cable service (plus some extras) without payment of a monthly usage fee. Members receive approximately 70 stations, including local stations, “expanded basic” plus three HBO stations.
New member’s homes pre-wired for service can obtain digital receivers from the local Comcast office for a nominal monthly service charge. Homeowners not receiving cable and who wish to do so can request service through the RPIA administration office. If repair service is required, members must contact Comcast directly to schedule an appointment.
