The affairs of Royal Palm Improvement Association (RPIA) are managed by a Board of Governors consisting of nine directors. RPIA officers include the president, vice president, secretary and treasurer. Directors, elected by the community, serve three year terms which are staggered. Officers are selected by the Board during its annual re-organization meeting. The Board also operates through a committee structure. Committees include Architectural, Security, Membership, Environmental, Finance, By-Laws, Executive and Public Affairs. Committee members include both Board members as well as community members. The Board meets on a monthly basis, typically on the fourth Thursday of the month. All meetings are open to community members. To direct the management and security services which the community expects RPIA to provide, RPIA employs the services of a property manager. Administrative tasks are handled by two office employees (Cathie Jaquith and Ginnie Benoit-Gavino). RPIA offices are located in Suite 100, 1650 South Dixie Highway. Security is supervised by our chief of security, Rick Shifley, who manages a force of 19 officers. |
